Seemed more like mountain Goat Coffee though. Did a quick search this morning to see if there was any cafes in the vicinity, and google said there was one 3 minutes away, so off I went. More narrow lanes and stairs and I was rewarded with this awesome little cafe with views up to the Alhambra.

Then despair. Cash only…. The only day I didn’t walk out with a few coins.

Every other place in Spain has wanted card, not cash 🤦‍♂️. So back I go to the apartment to get a few Euros.

Was worth it though, coffee was very good.

Todays coffee brought to you from the Alhambra at Granada. “Cafe con Leche” is the local coffee of choice, half warm milk half espresso. The sandwich is a delicious Jamón and cheese, simple but amazing taste. I had to wait till lunch to get my coffee fix today.

Not sure why, but the Alhambra has its own cat colony. All the local staff look after the cats, they carry cat treats with them. The cats of course know this and come over to them when they walk past

We visited the Alhambra complex in Granada today. It’s absolutely stunning. Will split the post into a few as there are a number of sections. This one is focused on the views from the Alhambra, it’s on a large hill looking down over the main town. Just jaw dropping stunning scenery.

So we have arrived in Granada. Some amazing views from the train (pics through window don’t do it justice). From the station we could see snow on the Sierra Nevada mountains. We got a taxi to the apartment, and it would seem I’ve picked a great apartment complex in one of the most difficult areas to navigate or find. It seemed like we were going in circles for ever and even I had to get out google maps to help the cab driver find it.

And…. OMFG… I thought the streets in Seville were narrow and nuts… Granada raises the bar… add in steep hills, tighter curves, two way traffic and buses… FFS!

After finally checking in I popped down to the local supermarket to get a few supplies. Took a few pics around the streets on the way there.

Not looking great in terms of coffee options, not sure what tomorrow will be like.
